What’s included if I book with Ride the Shore?
It really depends on what you choose to book through us. The accommodation rates quoted to you are guaranteed in Canadian dollars, but do not include taxes. Rental car rates include an Airport Concession Fee, government taxes and surcharges, but optional coverage is not included. You will be paying for your accommodation and rental vehicle when you arrive, although we may require a deposit from you to guarantee your reservation (depending on the accommodation provider’s policies). Maps, guidebooks, and bike rental rates are priced in Canadian dollars and do not include taxes. Guiding services are priced in Canadian dollars and are not subject to taxes.

What’s not included?
Again, it depends on what you choose to book with us, but transportation to Vancouver, meals, taxes on accommodation and vehicle rentals, optional rental car items such as refueling and the Loss Damage Waiver (check your automobile insurance or credit card policy before you come to see if you’re covered), personal health or other travel insurance are not included.

What’s your Cancellation Policy?
There will be a $100 Canadian per person cancellation charge levied by Ride the Shore Inc. if you cancel less than 30 days prior to arrival. There may be additional cancellation charges levied by the accommodation and rental car companies. The cancellation policies of the accommodation and rental car company you choose will be explained to you at the time of booking.

What Documentation do I need to enter Canada?
US citizens need a valid passport or photo ID with an original birth certificate to enter Canada. Citizens of countries other than the US require valid passports and may need visas to enter Canada.

What about insurance?
As mountain biking involves the ever-present risk of injury, proof of accident or medical insurance is required as a condition of booking with Ride the Shore Tours Inc.

Will I be required to sign a waiver?
All clients will be required to sign a comprehensive release of liability, waiver of claims, assumption of risks and indemnity agreement prior to or at the beginning of their trip. This agreement will affect your legal rights and we recommend that you read it carefully. Copies of the agreement are available on this website or can be obtained from us directly.

*It is important that you are aware that riding on the North Shore, in Squamish, and in Whistler is very different than what you may be used to. Due to the climate and topography of the Coast Mountain range, trails can be very steep and rugged. Be aware that the risk of injury is considerable.
